The vision of putting together an Asian Musical production originally came from Jennifer.  She envisioned this as an opportunity for the Asian Australians to cherish their cultural as well as an opportunity to express themselves through music, singing and dance.

    What all of the members of the production team had in common is that we are all of Asian decent, whether it be from Hong Kong, Malaysia or ABC, and we all live in Australia.  Although our experiences of life in Australia are all somewhat different, as we progress through life looking for a meaning, we are all met up with some forms or culture shock, a challenge to the system and ways of thought in which our parents and those around us have brought us up on.  We have to very quickly adapt to this new environment, even letting go of some things which we might hold dear, but this is all part of life involved with living in Australia.

    The musical will attempt to touch issues about love, relationships, family, friendships, religions, cultural values and hopefully some politics.  It will be a compilation of our experiences and hopefully we can convey a positive message about the attitude we should hold towards life in Australia.
